How it works
Your appointment, step by step
A typical appointment takes around 30 minutes, and most people leave with clear ears the same day.
Symptoms
Signs it might be ear wax
Ear wax is normal and usually clears itself — but when it builds up, it can be genuinely miserable.
Blocked ears are one of the most common problems we see, especially in hearing aid wearers, earbud users and swimmers. If any of the symptoms opposite sound familiar, an examination will tell us quickly whether wax is the culprit — and if it’s something else, we’ll point you to the right care.
Book an examination if you have:
Blocked, full or muffled ears
Earache, itching or irritation
Ringing or buzzing (tinnitus)
Hearing aids that whistle or seem weaker
Dizziness or a feeling of imbalance
Before your appointment
Use olive oil drops 2–3 times daily for 3–5 days beforehand
This softens the wax and makes removal quicker and more comfortable
Skip the drops if you have a known perforation — just tell us when booking
No drops? We can still examine and often treat on the day
Why microsuction
Safer and more precise than syringing
Microsuction is the method used by ENT departments — performed under direct vision, without pushing water into the ear.
Unlike old-style syringing, there’s no pressurised water, which means a lower risk of infection or damage, and it’s suitable for many people who can’t have irrigation. Both ears are usually cleared in one appointment, and you’ll notice the difference immediately.
Pricing
Simple, transparent pricing
You only ever pay for what’s done — and if there’s no wax to remove, you just pay for the examination.
